How to Support The Deaf Poets Society
We're here to right literature.
The Deaf Poets Society is committed to amplifying the voices of Deaf and disabled writers and artists—whether they identify as deaf, blind, physically disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, as having mental health challenges, or as being in any other way disabled—by showcasing their best work. In addition, we publish pieces that explore the intersections between the experience of D/deaf and/or disabled identity and other identities, including, but not limited to, womanhood; LGBTQ lives; and the perspectives of those who are Black, indigenous, and/or persons of color (BIPOC).
There are two main ways to support us. One is to submit your poetry, prose, reviews, and art for publication. We do not charge reading fees. Another way is to donate directly through PayPal:
Donation support allows us to offer payment to talented and hard-working authors and artists; create accessible and inclusive arts programming; and showcase paradigm-changing literature each year. The Deaf Poets Society is deeply grateful for the contributions that help support our work. 100% of contributions will go to further development of the journal and associated arts programming. However, donations are not tax-deductible at this time.
