My name is Jennifer Chastain and I am a disabled self-taught artist with a focus on illustration and painting. I was born and raised and still reside in Southern California along with my loving husband William and our four dogs and three ferrets. I’ve been drawing since I was two years old, and for the same amount of time, it has also been my dream to be a successful artist. 

My artwork is greatly influenced by fantasy, macabre, and, of course, anime. I work in various mediums both traditional and digital, and enjoy drawing and painting in realism in my ever-evolving style. Since becoming disabled from multiple chronic illnesses, I have also started to focus on work that depicts my personal experiences with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, MCAS, Hashimoto's, ME, as well as Lyme Disease and its co-infections. 

Upon finishing high school in 2005, I went into other fields while still pursuing my art until I became too sick to work, and since then, I’ve continued to pursue my love of art. In 2016, I was awarded by the EveryLifeFoundation a Rare Artist Award for one of my paintings titled The Mirror and since then, I’ve been inspired to try even harder to succeed at my dream of being a successful artist.
